Pakuranga - 4 Lawns
The Pakuranga Croquet Club invites anyone, individuals, couples or families, interested in participating in a sport that provides both physical and mental exercise in a friendly social atmosphere to come and try the challenging and intriguing sport of croquet.
Croquet requires strategy, judgement and skill rather than strength or fast reflexes. It is ideal for players of all ages whether male or female. Advanced members take it very seriously but most Club members see it as a relaxing and friendly way to exercise and socialise. A handicapping system ensures that players of all abilities have a good chance of winning games. Coaching is available for those who are interested.
If you are interested in trying croquet please come along to
one of our playing days. You will be very welcome. All you need initially are
flat soled shoes and casual dress. Mallets are available to borrow. Your first
three visits to the Club will be at no cost to give you time to properly
experience the game. After that, all going well, you will be invited to join

20 June 2020. The Club Championships have all now been played except for the Open Doubles. The Junior section was won by Jeff Sunderland, the Intermediate section by Neal Henderson, the Senior section by Tony Sullivan and the Open section by Kurt Warn.
8 July 2020. We are presently playing on all four courts, as weather and ground drainage permit. Courts 1 and 2 have been reduced to 80% full size for the winter. This is to avoid some wet areas at the far side of those lawns.
21 July 2020. The Pakuranga 2 team won the playoff between the winning divisions 1 and 2 teams so are therefore Croquet Auckland Interclub Champions for the 2019/2020 season. The team in the final consisted of; Neal Henderson (captain), Tony Sullivan, Steve Field and Gill Warn.
